当施設は、地球科学分野の研究に関する分析装置を維持管理している学内共同利用施設（理学部地球惑星システム科学分野所属）です。固体試料を対象とした電子顕微鏡による「微小領域分析」と蛍光X線分析装置・質量分析装置による「バルク分析」を行うことができます。
地球科学分野だけでなく、様々な無機固体分野で利用されています。研究利用が主体ですが、学部生実習など教育分野においても活用されています。学内共同利用施設ですが、研究促進のために学外共同研究者の利用も受け入れています。
Our laboratory is the intra-University Research Facility of Hokkaido University. We belong to the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Faculty of Science.
We have several kinds of the equipments using for the researches about the earth and planetary sciences: surface analysis by electron microscopes and bulk analysis by X-ray equipments and mass spectorometry. Our laboratory is also utilized by the many kinds of researchers focusing on the inorganic solid materials.
In addition, we support the experimental classes for undergraduate students.
For the research promotion, we accept the visitors conducting collaborative research with the staffs of Hokkaido Univ.

1985年 学内共同利用施設
「エネルギー分散・波長分散蛍光X線分析研究室」 設立
微小領域表面分析装置（X線関連装置）の共同利用開始
1990年 理学部共同利用施設
「固体試料同位体質量分析室」 設立
固体試料の同位体質量分析装置の共同利用開始
2015年 両施設を統合
学内共同利用施設
「地球惑星固体物質解析システム研究室」として再編
微小領域表面分析装置とバルク質量分析装置の一元化管理開始
History
1985:
Intra-University Research Facility “Energy-dispersive, wavelength-dispersive, X-ray fluorescence Analytical laboratory” was established.
1990:
“Solid material Isotope-MS Analytical laboratory” was established in Graduate school of Science.
2015:
These two facilities were integrated into Intra-University Research Facility “Earth and Planetary Solid Material Analytical Laboratory”.
